Aerovel’s Flexrotor is Now Equipped with a Heavy Fuel Engine (HFE)

After extensive research and rigorous testing, Aerovel proudly announces the Flexrotor now is equipped with a state-of-the-art Heavy Fuel Engine (HFE) with proprietary fuel mixture control. Integrating the HFE enhances the Flexrotor’s unique VTOL capabilities, improving efficiency, operational range, and maritime market compatibility. The First Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) units featuring the HFE will be deployed to the US Navy’s 5th Fleet and Task Force 59, demonstrating its impressive capabilities and reliability in an operational environment.
